The
National Soccer Hall of Fame continues its mission of bringing
soccer history to the public with the first of its weekly
segments on
Fox Soccer Channel's
“Fox Soccer USA” beginning April 5 at 8:00pm. The weekly series
“…will roam the nation profiling trends, on and off the field,
in the emerging soccer culture, all the while engaging viewers
in everything they need to know about the beautiful game…”
according to Brighton Entertainment Supervising Producer
Jeff Strauss.
“We
are excited to provide soccer history to this new show,”
Jack Huckel, Hall of Fame Director of Communications, said.
“It’s a great opportunity to spread our message to the national
soccer audience in a new way.” The “Hall of Fame MLS Timeline”
has been a regular feature of MLS game telecasts for the past
two seasons, but this is its first chance to bring history to a
youth oriented weekly show. “We were delighted at the request to
become a weekly feature,” Huckel said. “Our message is that
soccer has been a part of American culture for more that 140
years. While it has waxed and waned in its national presence,
the game and its players have created a wonderful history that
we capture at the Museum. Now we can share that history with a
wider audience than ever before.”
“Fox Soccer
USA” will air weekly at 8:00 Tuesday on the Fox Soccer Channel.
The show re-airs up to 6 times each week. Check your cable
listings or the Fox website at
www.foxsports.com/foxsoccer for the re-air schedule.
