Paul Danilo


Duts began his soccer career in 1937 with the well known Morgan Soccer Club in western Pennsylvania’s Keystone League.

He was a fast breakaway wingman with a very hard shot in either foot and was a member of Morgan in the West Penn Cup Finals in 1941 and 1945. He scored the winning goal in the U.S. Amateur Cup final of 1940 for Morgan against Fall River Firestone. Danilo also played for Heidelberg in 1937-38, and the Pittsburgh Indians in the North American Professional Soccer League in 1946 and 1947, winning the championship in 1947. Named to numerous all-star teams. He retired from playing soccer in 1952 after 15 seasons, and was named manager of Morgan Soccer Club. Served 1953-57 as first secretary and then president of the West Penn Soccer Association.
