Emigrated
to the United States in 1908 and almost immediately became secretary of the
Peabody Lodge team and later became a vice president of the Allied League of
Pennsylvania.

Was league delegate to the Football Association of Eastern
Pennsylvania and in 1914 became secretary of that organization and served in
this office for more than 25 years until his death in the early 1940s. He
was also secretary of the Allied Amateur Cup and for many years chairman of
the United States Football Association finance committee and served on many
other committee's of the National organization. For many years teams in the
Philadelphia area competed for the William Palmer Memorial Cup.
