Graduating in 1910 he returned to the college in 1920 as a
member of the physical education faculty and became varsity coach in 1929.
During his regime, the Maroons won the National Championship twice and the
New England Intercollegiate title four times. Retired before the war but
returned to coach in 1946 and 1947 when his teams were undefeated throughout
the two seasons and were designated as National Champions by the Soccer
Coaches Association.
