While studying law his
only recreation was Sunday games with Chicago S.C., Kickers and Olympia
as center half back and inside right. Passed his bar examination in 1931 and ceased playing. Returned in 1949 as an administrator
and elected secretary to the Illinois Commission. Elected third vice president of the
USSFA in 1945. In 1948 became
first vice president and served as president from 1951 to 1953. Represented the USSFA at the 1948
Olympic Games in London, at the North American zone championship in
Mexico City in 1949 and at the World Cup in Brazil in 1950.
