Girls and Women in Sports Day

The National Soccer Hall of Fame and Museum will celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day on Saturday, February 9, 2007 from 10am to 4pm.

The program is geared to girls and boys ages 6 to 13, and their parents. You and your children can join in a fun filled day of activities. We recommend if you are going to stay all day to bring a bag lunch.

The day’s special events include:

The YMCA Youth Fitness program demonstration
A dazzling presentation by the Stanley & Wade School of Dance
A “Team-Up” activity - participants will work together with a diverse group to accomplish a shared goal
Movie “Hero for Daisy,” focusing on self-esteem, empowerment and the significance of Title IX
Question and answer session lead by Andrea Thies, a two- time Olympian on the USA rowing team

Throughout the day there will be a “dream stickers” arts & crafts activity and as always our interactive Kicks Zone will be in full swing!

Admission for this special program is youth $7.50 and adults are $12.50. Coupons for reduced admission are available in area schools and the YMCA or print the coupon to the right.
